A Golf Course, a Wedding and an Elephant!

April 29th, 2011

Hi Everyone! It's been a little while since we posted a blog,  we have been busy with some exciting new things that we will be sharing with you over the course of the year! In the meantime, here is a video showcasing a wedding I did recently. Anshita and Jitin were one of the sweetest couples I have had the pleasure of working with. Bringing their vision to life involved coordinating a ceremony, reception and a rather unusual wedding guest; Tai the elephant recently seen in the movie Water for Elephants. Such a beautiful, regal creature! She added a uniquely festive element to an already joyous occasion. A huge thank you to April of Robles Video for creating such an extraordinary montage. She captured the spirit of the occasion from the overall design down to the smallest details. P.S. Stay tuned for the amazing images :) Enjoy! Anshita and Jitin

We love love love Umar Sayeed's bridal/formal designs! They are so elegant and fashion forward and, most importantly, are extremely flattering on women. He is one of the most creative Pakistani designers and his photo shoots are so intriguing and showcase his stunning creations perfectly! Who wouldn't want all these outfits in their closet?! Enjoy!

Winter Wonderland

April 4th, 2011

Hi Everyone! This past winter, we had the opportunity to collaborate with some great colleagues on this gorgeous winter wonderland shoot that is now featured in the Winter 2011 issue of South Asian Bride Magazine. We wanted to create an atmosphere that would perhaps suit the setting of Sweden's Ice Hotel and this is what we came up with. Thank you to Studio EMP Photography, Wildflower Linens, Tic Tock Florals, Classic Party Rentals, and Jason Fox Event Lighting! Enjoy!

  • #Repost @archdigest - #JacquesArpels was inspired by the clover shapes in architecture inspiring him to design his famous Alhambra collection, which is also our inspiration for one of our upcoming events! #inspirationeverywhere #designinspiration #eventdesign #alhambra #moorisharchitecture #vancleefarpels ・・・
Half a century ago, inspired by the decorative patterns Jacques Arpels observed on his travels, @vancleefarpels launched Alhambra—a clover-shaped gold medallion resembling a Moorish quatrefoil. “As an architectural element, it appears in almost every culture,” says Van Cleef & Arpels’s current president and CEO, Nicolas Bos. “In jewelry, it’s just as adaptable.” Today the French luxury brand remains captivated by the motif, having reimagined it in myriad styles and stones. This past May, to mark the Alhambra collection’s 50th anniversary, Van Cleef launched nine new pieces with a party at the 16th-century El Badi Palace in Marrakech. While celebrating with them, AD found a few more not-to-miss sights in Marrakech, including the 14th-century Islamic college Ben Youssef Madrasa pictured here.
