exquisite events featured in hello! magazine pakistan We are beyond excited to have Faizaan and Zahra's wedding featured in the new Hello! Pakistan magazine! The magazine launched in Pakistan in April and it's the first time an international magazine has been published there. The CEO of Hello! Pakistan, Zahraa Assad Saifullah Khan was quoted as saying, "We want to reshape the country's image, develop a 'progressive' brand and outlook." We absolutely love Hello! magazine and hope the Pakistan edition does very well! The magazine's first issue in Pakistan featured an exclusive interview and photoshoot with Sean Penn, plus coverage of Fashion Showcase 2012. But Hello! Pakistan will also focus on local talent like Oscar-winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, whose documentary Saving Face has earned him international accolades. Just two days after its launch, Hello! Pakistan had already sold out in every shop in Karachi and Islamabad! Congratulations Hello! Pakistan! exquisite events featured in hello! magazine pakistan Faizaan and Zahra met through his cousin when they were 12 years old they remained good friends for 12 years. Faizaan always had feelings for Zahra since the first time he saw her, but he didn't want to ruin their friendship by mentioning anything. All that changed when Zahra visited Faizaan in Los Angeles from London in the summer of 2010, and before you know it, by January 6th, 2011, the two of them were engaged and both families were over the moon at the joyous celebration dinner at Zahra's mother's home in Lahore, Pakistan. For the rest of the year, the two families planned two weddings which took place in Lahore, Pakistan and Los Angeles, USA. On February 10th, 2012 Faizaan and Zahra were married at the historical mosque in Lahore, Badshah e Masjid, which was built by the Mughal Emperor Akhbar. It was a small, intimate and religious, paper-signing event called a Nikka, which was followed by a brunch at a beautiful ancient Pakistani home, otherwise known as a Havelli in old city Lahore, next to the Badshah e Masjid thrown by Faizaan's parents. Guests were entertained by a Qawali performance by Santu. On the 12th of February, the main wedding celebration event took place, known as the Mehndi and Baraat. Traditionally Pakistanis do not combine the two events, but Zahra wanted to keep it simple and less hectic. Zahra wore a 60s-inspired traditional Pakistani bridal outfit designed by her mother and her self and Faizaan also wore a traditional Pakistani outfit which was designed by Nilofer Shahid. The event was spectacular. In March, family and friends flew from around the world to make it to Faizaan and Zahra's wedding reception at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, in Beverly Hills Los Angeles. It was an impeccable event organized by Nikki Khan of Exquisite Events. The event decor was inspired by Karl Lagerfeld's Pre-Fall 2012 Paris Bombay Collection for Chanel. Faizaan wore a tux by Tom Ford and Zahra wore a gown by Alexander McQueen. Chanel meets India

July 25th, 2012

The Chanel window display change is something Nikki and I always look forward to when it comes around every few months. You can imagine our excitement when we were in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and came across the Paris-Bombay display at the Wynn Hotel.  We fell in love with the Fall 2012 Paris- Bombay fashion show and to see Karl Lagerfeld's genius of marrying the decadence of east and west was an ultimate treat. I was in such awe that it took me about 15 minutes to go into the actual boutique after studying each mannequin! The styling  of the actual windows was stunning as well; The backdrop was antique mirror with facades reminiscent of Jaipur palaces with pink chandeliers and lavish jewels.

Each mannequin had a version of an Indian hair piece such as a Teeka, Matha Patti or Jhumar

Amazing styling with a bold lip

A sari inspired gown with the most luxurious fabric

The jewelry is reminiscent of antique Rajisthan, India

Thigh high lambskin flats almost look like a Choori Dar Pajama

Love the Chanel Pazeb anklets

I absolutely love the styling of these windows and each boutique is different. If you have a chance, check out the boutique nearest you to see a true marrying of fashion cultures. Mr Lagerfeld, I salute you!

Ode to Coco Photo Shoot

July 3rd, 2012

ode to coco photo shoot We've always been obsessed with Chanel and finally decided to pay a proper tribute to the design legend. The "Ode to Coco" photo shoot at Revelry Event Designers‘ warehouse was an incredible collaboration with RevelryHidden Garden Floral Design and Wildflower Linen. Revelry created a backdrop of hanging glass globes layered over silky grey fabric and hung two of their sparkling silver globe chandeliers with crystals above the table. Then we decorated the tabletop with our brand new handmade silver collection and Hidden Garden Floral Design's lovely florals in soft pinks, lavender and greens. Wildflower Linen dressed the table in custom-designed quilted chair covers that looked like Chanel bags and a rich velvet tablecloth. The Callaway Gable team was there to professionally capture our visual appreciation for one of the best designers in history! Click here to see "Ode to Coco" featured on Junebug Weddings and here to see a behind-the-scenes look at the photo shoot. ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot ode to coco photo shoot
