Sexy & Elegant Intimate Dinner

May 12th, 2017

As much as we love designing and planning epic weddings, we equally love small and intimate dinner parties and when the opportunity arises, it is always exciting.

Such was the case with this intimate dinner party for thirty of our client’s close friends. She wanted a tasting menu with wine pairing. After recommending a few caterers, our clients settled on Tres LA. A decadent menu of seven course meal was decided by the client after a long tasting.

As for décor, client wanted something sexy and elegant. Nikki suggested merlot and black which set the tone for this winter evening. A long table covered with merlot linen was set under a canopy on client’s terrace. Black chairs with merlot pads added the glamour which was further enhanced with tall black candelabras bearing merlot candles. Runner of flowers with silver mercury glass candles, silver chargers, menu and a single hand opened rose was inviting enough for guests to take their seat at this beautiful table.

Guests arrived dressed to the nines and were treated to butler passed rose champagne. They were then escorted to a lovely space which was set for cocktail hour. After enjoying a few tray passed appetizers and libations guests made their way to the dinner area. With soft and sultry music trio and a French chanteuse, the mood was romantic and magical. Tres LA staff did an amazing job of serving the courses while a sommelier explained the vintage French Wines that were paired with each course. Needless to say guests enjoyed the evening thoroughly amidst scrumptious food, glamorous table and decadent ambiance. The meal was unhurried and guests were completely relaxed. Like all good things come to an end, so did this unforgettable night. Our client was over the moon and we left the party like full justice was done to the table décor and food.

Fashion Fridays with our Met Gala Favorites

May 5th, 2017

#FashionFridays is all about this past week’s Met Gala. We are sharing our favorites from the highly anticipated evening, Costume Institute’s exhibition Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.

Our best dressed goes to the gorgeous Gigi Hadid, who always looks flawless and Monday night she dominated in Tommy Hilfiger.
Gig Hadid
Her sister, Bella Hadid, also looking fierce in Alexander Wang. Sporting a sexy catsuit to make all eyes on her.

Keeping with the black, shimmery and sexy look is Kendall Jenner, who wore a cut out La Perla gown with a body suit underneath.
There are not many people that could rock a parrot ballgown, but Zendaya killed it. Looking glamorous and effortless she brought spring and colors to the Met Gala red carpet.
On a more classic and covered up side, Allison Williams stunned in a black and white Diane von Furstenberg gown, giving us retro vibes rocking blonde waves and a strong cat eye.
Also, rocking the blonde bob, Kylie Jenner never disappoints as she looked glamorous in Versace nude gown. We are loving the embellishments and tassels really showing off her figure.

Half a century ago, inspired by the decorative patterns Jacques Arpels observed on his travels, @vancleefarpels launched Alhambra—a clover-shaped gold medallion resembling a Moorish quatrefoil. “As an architectural element, it appears in almost every culture,” says Van Cleef & Arpels’s current president and CEO, Nicolas Bos. “In jewelry, it’s just as adaptable.” Today the French luxury brand remains captivated by the motif, having reimagined it in myriad styles and stones. This past May, to mark the Alhambra collection’s 50th anniversary, Van Cleef launched nine new pieces with a party at the 16th-century El Badi Palace in Marrakech. While celebrating with them, AD found a few more not-to-miss sights in Marrakech, including the 14th-century Islamic college Ben Youssef Madrasa pictured here.
