Four Seasons Moscow

June 30th, 2017

A couple of years ago Young and I were invited for a speaking engagement in Moscow. After our sessions were finished we decided to take a tour of the city. While walking around red square, we saw the Four Seasons Moscow sign and decided to check out the hotel. The door men who are dressed in beautiful red uniforms informed us that the hotel had not yet opened but we were welcome to look around. This hotel is a beautiful property that overlooks Red Square and interiors are all Art Deco in style. As we were getting ready for a self guided tour we saw this gentleman coming towards us with a big smile. As luck would have it, the gentleman was Loga Nathan who had worked at Beverly Wilshire A Four Seasons Hotel. He had recognized me for my events at BW. What a pleasant surprise it was, to be so many thousands of miles away and to run into someone who had worked in LA. Goes to show how small this industry and today's world is!!! He was kind enough to give us a wonderful tour of the property and later treated us to a decadent afternoon tea. What a treat on a cold November afternoon.

We came back to our hotel that night ready to take a tour with our private driver of the beautiful city of Moscow before Young and I headed out to St. Petersburg.

Colorful at Shady Canyon Club

June 23rd, 2017

When the elite Shady Canyon Club in Irvine asked us to do a colorful table top, we were beyond thrilled since it is right up our alley. We were given the patio area to create this eye catching and visually beautiful table top that was for sure going to be a show stopper.

Our first partner on the list to collaborate with was Raj Tents and tent color was chosen to enhance the flowers and table top items. Our dominant color was burgundy with pops of deep orange, hot pink and shades of merlot. Youngsong of Wildflower Linens designed chair covers and table linen to compliment the tent and flowers. Our China sat atop beautiful chargers and the layering created a lovely visual. Gold rimmed glasses and flatware further enhanced the cohesive look while menus, place cards, napkins tied in beautiful lotus rings finished the look. End result was pure decadence with elegance of the setting intact. Throughout the evening we had visitors pay compliments to the space and the biggest compliment for us was when most of the guests just hung out by our tent.

It was definitely an evening to remember.

Lunch at the Haveli in Lahore, Pakistan

June 16th, 2017

A few years ago we had the pleasure and a unique experience of working with this couple who chose to hold their post ceremony lunch at the Haveli in Lahore, Pakistan. This hidden treasure lies in the old walled city of Lahore and belongs to Yusuf Salahuddin, who happens to be the grandson of Allama Iqbal. Allama Iqbal is one the greatest poets that ever lived and his poetry has been translated in multiple languages all over the world and his grandson Mr. Salahuddin holds the title of Lahore’s cultural guru. Anyone who is from Lahore and into the culture, architecture and love for old buildings, knows about this unique and stunningly beautiful jewel. The Haveli is almost two centuries old and came into the family’s possession around 1870 and has seen it all: celebrities, politicians, literati and icons. It isn’t just this aura of historical significance that shapes the appeal of the place; its careful aesthetic, maintenance and décor is the real treat.

Our couple wanted the event to be on the simpler side to ensure the beauty and integrity of the architecture was in the forefront. With minimal décor it was a treat for the family and guests to enjoy lunch in the most decadent environment.
