DWP Congress in Aqaba, Jordan

This year was all about travel for us at Exquisite Events. It started with a trip to Paris followed by Nikki making a trip to Pakistan, a destination wedding in Mexico City, a trip to Japan and then the grand finale of a fabulous trip to Jordan at the invitation of DWP, Destination Wedding Planners Congress. I have been a staunch supporter of DWP since it’s inception 11 years ago in Athens and this was my 7th DWP which took place in Jordan. This country had been on my bucket list and of course when the opportunity arose, I jumped at it.

The trip began in Amaan with a lovely stay at the Fairmont Hotel and visiting Citadel followed by a memorable feast at Majdoline - a restaurant I wouldn’t mind dining again and again.

Next day was off to Mount Nebo, lunch by the Dead Sea and finally evening in Petra. After a lovely dinner, we witnessed the most magical night at Petra which was lit with hundreds of candles and the most beautiful starry night and full moon above- a sight I will always hold close to my heart!

Following day was day trip to Petra which had its own charm and magic and then off to Aqaba which was going to be home for the next three days.

The warm welcome in which we were received will be forever etched in my mind. After witnessing the amazing Bedouin Arab band and having some refreshments, I was personally taken to my room with the manager in the most seamless check in process. Our first night was a trip and memorable dinner in Wadi Rum.
